For something to do and to be "supportive" S & I went to another coworker's Lia Sophia party. Granted, we were over half an hour late and drove over 70 mph on the backroads to get there, but at least we showed up, right? I basically wanted to see her house and meet her dog and had absolutely no intention of buying anything, but I ended up buying two things - a ring for my mom (to replace her ring that shit out and since I lost the receipt, I can use the receipt from this purchase to return the old one - woot!) and a pair of earrings so S could get a piece she wanted half price (they have a buy 2, get one 1/2 price deal) Anyway, the party filled up three hours of my Friday night, caused me to have a funny story about driving home with a case of beer, and will make my mom happy when she gets her new ring. In the meantime, I'm swearing off all Lia Sophia parties for the next year!
