Today was Jeans Day at work. As I was getting out of bed, bemoaning all my usual reasons I didn't want to get up (which include: cold, tired, pointless, and Friday at work = hell) I realized that I got to wear JEANS to work. I vowed to have a good day. And it worked. Despite getting totally slammed with customers all day, my good mood never wavered, even though I had to remind myself a few times that I was determined to have a "good day." I ended up getting free pizza at lunch and having all sorts of other tiny swell things happen to me thoughout the day, so I guess the power of positive thinking really paid off, as my day rocked, which is so rare for me, especially on a Friday when I work.
